Style Story: February Red

It snowed this weekend and it was a heatwave outside with a temperature of 30 degrees Fahrenheit, so I thought it'd be fun to take advantage of the beautiful weather and snap some photos outside on a rooftop. I'm not joking when I say it was a heatwave since Chiberia #1 and #2 made us suffer below zero weather for weeks. It's never fun when your boogers freeze the second you step outside, am I right?

Since it's February, I'm sure many of you are thinking about Valentine's Day. And with this cold and constant snow, who wants to make a trek outside just to find a new outfit for your date or whatever you have planned? A simple and wallet-friendly solution is to find something red or pink from your closet and throw it on with neutral colors like I did last year. I decided to wear my favorite red double collar coat over an LBD with simple accessories.

Photobombed by the snow.

Coat: ILY Couture | Dress: BCBG | Tights: Marshalls | Shoes: Anthropologie | Necklace: To Hello Beautiful | Earrings: Jeweliq | Rings: ILY Couture & Jeweliq

Stay warm friends! Are you looking forward to Spring as much as I am?

  2. Yay! Another Chicago gal! I love your red coat. My winter coats are all gray and now I'm thinking that I need a fun red one to brighten up this winter we're having.

Also, I know this makes me sound stalker-ish, but whenever I see other Chicago style bloggers take pics on their roofs I try to figure out if they live anywhere near me :-)
